Stella
Stella were formed in 1995, in Hamburg. Initially they were a trio: Elena Lange , Mense Reents, Thies Mynther. In the spring of 1996 they released first EP, “Stella EP”. With the experience of playing live, came the realisation that a mixture of rock and electro worked well. Then, in 1997, the 7“, “O.K., tomorrow I’ll be perfect”, was released. This was followed, in 1998, by “Extralife”, their first CD/LP. In the summer of 2000, the long-awaited second LP was released, “Finger On The Trigger For The Years To Come”. The band had meanwhile grown into a quartet (Hendrik Weber joined in 1998). In the meantime, they have brought out several 12”s and completed various tours. Stella stand for modern sound and were electro-punk before this was even hip, but don’t have to be. The lyrics talk about love just as sophisticatedly as about politics. And now, at last, three years since their last release, and following many other projects by the different band members, here comes the new album: “Better Days Sounds Great”.
